Rebecca Goff, Mezzo-Soprano, is the Executive Director for Rodolf & Todd Law Firm and a part-time music student. She currently studies classical music at The University of Southern Maine in Gorham, Maine and jazz music at Berklee College of Music Online in Boston, Massachusetts. Rebecca is pursuing a second Bachelors in Music at The University of Southern Maine where she studies classical voice with Christina Astrachan and classical piano with Tina Davis. She is also pursuing an Advanced Professional Certificate in Jazz Theory, Harmony and Ear Training at Berklee Online. Rebecca has studied classical voice with Neil Gardiner, Meray Boustani, and Deborah Cook. She has studied classical piano with Sue Jones, Dinelle Franklind and Ronald Marlowe, of The Marlowe Brothers. She is studying Jazz Voice during the Summer 2019 Term with Jan Shapiro at Berklee Online. Rebecca is passionate about early music, as well as her German language and German Lieder studies. She is particularly fond of vocal music by composers Antonio Vivaldi, Richard Strauss and Franz Schubert. Post graduation from USM in 2020, Rebecca hopes to travel to Germany for a study abroad language immersion program as part of her plans to study Musicology in the future. Rebecca is currently a cantor, choral singer and soloist at the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul in Lewiston, Maine under the direction of Scott Valliancourt. She is a seasoned choral singer having sung most recently with The St. Cecilia Schola Cantorum, in Lewiston, Maine, The Holy Family Cathedral Choir and The Tulsa Oratorio Chorus, both in Tulsa, OK and DCINY: Distinguished Concerts International of New York in the 2016 performance of “Messiah...Refreshed” at Carnegie, Hall in New York City. She enjoys singing both straight tone and vibrato styles of music in alto and soprano voice parts. Prior to studying classical voice, Rebecca grew up singing in the school chorus and later went on to play the role of Rosie Alvarez at Messalonskee High School’s musical theatre production of “Bye Bye Birdie” in Oakland, Maine. As a young college student in Joplin, Missouri, she was part of an 8 voice traveling vocal band and a contemporary acoustic duo. She has been a church singer and soloist in multiple genres of music for over 30 years. HMS Pinafore is her first opera. Rebecca is an avid traveler, outdoor enthusiast and dog lover. Originally from Suffern, New York, Rebecca currently makes her home in Winslow, Maine with her husband, Tennis Pro and Retired Intelligence Officer for the United States Air Force, Major Ken Boykin. They share three adult children between them and enjoy a simple Maine life, “The Way Life Should Be” with their beloved dogs, Coco and Espy. |
