Jarrell Strickland

Tenor  | Monostatos

“I am more than grateful to be invited back to one of the most beautiful places in America!” Jarrell, along with Deiran Manning and Deirdre McCardle, performed a concert at the Oceanside Meadows last August (2017). He is a graduate of West Virginia University, where he received his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and studied with Dr. Hope Koehler. An active performer in WVU’s Opera Theatre, he played the roles of Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro and Dr. Gregg in Gallantry, as well as various roles in opera scenes. Strickland has been recognized as a Classical Singer Competition national semi-finalist, as well as a WV NATS and Tri-State NATS winner. Additional credits include solo in Schubert’s Mass in G, Fauré’s Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem, and Bach’s Cantata 80. While persuing his Masters degree under the tutelage Timothy Noble, at the Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana, he performed with the IU Opera Theater in The Marriage of Figaro as Don Basilio and the Vicar in Albert Herring.

A Quick Clarification

Because there are several arts organizations in our region, it’s easy for supporters to assume we are all part of the same entity. Winter Harbor Music is a completely separate nonprofit with its own staff, budget, and programming.

We rely on our own fundraising to sustain our work each season. When you give through this page, your donation supports Winter Harbor Music exclusively.
